AYUBOWAN! My Name is Upul De Silva and I want to welcome you at my Surf Resort at Kalpitiya!
Since my early childhood I have been living for watersports, because this is my real passion! I´m 4th times Sri Lankan Windsurf National Champion, VDWS-windsurf-/kitesurfinstructor/station manager and worked many years in Europe. It was always my dream to run my own surfschool one time, because I wanted all students to benefit from my long-term experience. It would be a pleasure for my team and me to welcome you here in my homecountry and teach you in all these amazing sports! Start with us your new lifestyle here at Kalpitiya!
The DE SILVA´s Wind Resort Kalpitiya is directly located at the Kalpitiya Lagoon next to the Indian Ocean (North-West-Coast of Sri Lanka), wich is one of the best spots for Kiteboarding and Windsurfing all over the world!
Our very friendly and high qualified staff - VDWS (Verband Deutscher Wassersport Schulen = International federation for watersport schools) will introduce you in the best way in your new watersport!
The Resort is surrounded with several shady coconut palms, perfectly fitted in the native landscape of Kalpitiya´s National Park. In our restaurant we provide every day very fresh food with Sri Lanka traditional meals, salads, seafoods and others. Our cooking team is very professional and has a lot of work-experiences throughout several countries. In addition we serve cocktails, fresh fruits and from time to time we organize BBQ´s as well as party nights.Next to Kiteboarding, Windsurfing and Stand Up Paddling you may play beach volleyball, relax during an Ayurvedic massage, read a book in a hammock or take a beach walk on the very long and pristine sandlobe. There is also a variety of day excursions (eg. Jeep tour at the biggest Wildlife national park Wilpattu or Kite- and Windsurf Trips to Paradice Island) as well as perfectly organized several- day tours around the island (Culture- and Adventure Tours).
We organize airport transfers any time you land and offer pick ups from other areas around the island.
